I traveled 3313 km through Madagascar, cooking with five families on Africa's biggest island. On this particular day, the woman of the house prepared a vast amount of fresh coconut milk. The stove inside her small home was not big enough to cater to the huge cooking pot filled with rice and coconut milk, so she placed it on an open fire in front of her house. It was the best coconut rice I've ever tasted in my life. This photo is for anyone who loves stories behind a picture has a heart for Africa, or loves cooking.
