Holistic Nutrition Workshop: From Soil to Plate

Based on current nutrition and food systems research, this workshop explores how foods that can be grown locally can support the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases, including digestive and metabolic health challenges.

The focus lies on nutrition from soil to plate — keeping local food cultures, traditional ingredients, and community practices at the forefront. Rather than promoting external dietary models, we look at how locally available foods, crop diversity, and preparation methods can be integrated into health programs, food initiatives, home gardens, or menus.

The workshop connects research with practice and helps participants translate holistic nutrition knowledge into approaches that fit their realities — whether they work in community health, food programs, or product and recipe development.

This is not a medical training, but a practical learning space for those who want to think differently about food, health, and local systems — and apply that thinking in meaningful ways.
